We have been the British Safety Council's number one company in the UK for Health and Safety across all sectors for the last two years. We hold the highest ever Health and Safety audit score awarded by the BSC (5 star rating, a score of 99.93%) and have won two prestigious Swords of Honour recognising our outstanding commitment to workplace safety.
Our world-class Health and Safety culture was also recognised last year with three Considerate Constructor Awards, and this year with a CCS Gold Award for showing the highest levels of consideration towards the public, the environment, our sites and our staff. We were also recently one of only 30 organisations worldwide to receive a BSC International Safety Award with distinction.
Queen’s Wharf and Riverside Studios is a joint venture from Mount Anvil and the award-winning FABRICA by A2Dominion. For information on FABRICA, see their website.
The project includes the creation of 165 new homes alongside the new Riverside Studios.
Scaffolding frames around the buildings will be covered using Monarflex scaffold sheeting. This will allow work to continue in most weather conditions and protect the immediate area from dust and debris.
Completion of Queen’s Wharf is scheduled for late 2017. The new Riverside Studios is scheduled to reopen to the public in 2018.
Experienced traffic marshals are responsible for overseeing the safe and proper movement of site traffic around Queen’s Wharf when and where necessary, in accordance with our Traffic Management Plan.
There is no parking provision on site for subcontractors, and we actively encourage all subcontractors to use public transport to get in to work.
Where appropriate we use leading-edge pollution monitoring and reduction technology. This includes equipment that live monitors air pollution, noise and dust, as well as special monitors to ensure that there is no movement in the river wall as work progresses. For more information on our award-winning environmental commitment visit Mount Anvil’s dedicated health, safety and environment portal.
